Step into the creative world of modern embroidery and cyanotype printing with our exciting 2-hour workshop! This hands-on experience merges the timeless art of cyanotype with the intricate craft of embroidery, resulting in a unique and personalized masterpiece.
Monday, August 12th
5:30 PM to 7:30 PM
Ozark Beer Co. | Rogers, AR
Participants will begin by receiving a custom cyanotype print created from their own photo. Cyanotype, a photographic printing process that dates back to the 19th century, produces stunning blueprints from light-sensitive chemicals. This print will serve as the canvas for your embroidery journey.
All necessary materials will be provided, including a selection of embroidery threads, along with a needle, wooden embroidery hoop, and, of course, your cyanotype print mounted on fabric. Claire will guide you through the fundamentals of embroidery, teaching techniques to enhance and embellish your cyanotype print with stitches that complement and highlight your photograph.
Over the course of two immersive hours, you'll learn how to blend the delicate artistry of embroidery with the striking visual impact of cyanotype, transforming your print into a personalized work of art. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned crafter, this workshop offers a perfect blend of creativity and skill-building in a relaxed and supportive environment.
