Plant Swap and Propagation Class

  • Ozark Beer Company 109 North Arkansas Street Rogers, AR, 72756 United States (map)

You love plants? We love plants! Let’s trade plants!

A plant swap is exactly what is sounds like—a gathering for swapping out plants with fellow gardeners and plant lovers.

If you have a few plants you are willing to part with come trade them!

Have a couple of cuttings that have some good growth? Bring them.

Have some seeds that you love? Bring them.

There is nothing more flattering or rewarding than sharing plants with others and exchanges are a popular way to connect and pick up some new plants that you may not have.

Our only rules are that your plant is in good health, pest free, and you are ready to part with it. They can be potted or bare root.

While you're at it, pack up anything else you might like to swap such as gardening books you've already read or gardening tools you no longer
need.

If you love plants but don’t have any to trade no worries!

We will be kicking off the evening with a Propagation 101 class taught by Molly's sister Sarah. What is Propagating? Why Propagate? How do I Propagate? Let Sarah tell you all about the how, what, and why's of propagation in this mini course!

During this lesson, Sarah will be going over the easiest and most popular ways to create an entirely new plant from a single cutting, stem, leaf, or root. We will talk about water propagation vs soil propagation and what plants work better with which method. Sarah will show you step by step how to propagate, the tools you will need and some tips to ensure you will have happy growing, rooting, propagating plants in no time! Take home reading material talked about in class will be provided. Please feel free to bring a houseplant that you would like to propagate! Sarah will be more than happy to help out anyone with the steps and show the class as we do it!

The propagation class is $5 per person and propagation cuttings and glass jars will be available for additional purchase along with handcrafted Propagation Hangers. Please make sure any plants brought to class are clean and pest free! Hope to see you join the fun and exciting world of Propagation!

Top off your evening with Twig's BBQ, out front serving some of the best BBQ in town.

We're also welcoming Alexander Baking Company who's promised to bring cookies that look almost too good to eat!

The plant swap is open to the public and free for all. The class is $5 and we request pre-registration.
